At long last our landing strip is operational

Headings: 14/32

Rwy 14: ±1% upgrade for fist ±500m followed by two undulations with long vertical curves for 250m. The last 350m of Rwy 14 is slightly up ±0.5%

Rwy 32: Starts with ±0.5% downgrade over fist 350m and ends over the last 500m with ±1% downgrade.

Length: 1150 x 20m wide

Elevation: 4380 feet

Surface: Hard gravel.

Recommended circuits: Rwy 14 left hand Rwy 32 right hand

CAUTION!

Rwy 14 has 100ft high cliffs just left of left edge 100m from threshold

Rwy 32 has 100ft high cliffs just right of right edge 400m from threshold

All three wind socks are up, one at each threshold and one in the middle, all on the east side of the runway.

Where the runway itself is concerned, the threshold at 32 is done but the 14 threshold and the first 100 m from this end must still be finished to give the full 1150m x 20m wide. I want to take the big rocks out on the 14 end without damaging them and then I can complete the last 100m.

There will also, in the not too distant future, be run-up pads at both ends and a parking area with the necessary tie down facilities at the 32 end.
